MUNCIE, Ind. — Think you can beat Isabelle Behrman? You're going to have to work harder.
It's safe to say not many people, let alone high school athletes, are willing to do that. About four times per week over the last two years, Behrman has gone to the local YMCA at 5:30 a.m. with her dad and younger brother to work on her tennis game and conditioning.
Those early-morning workouts give them a chance to bond over a sport they all love. And have helped Behrman improve to where she currently stands, as one of eight singles players still competing in the state of Indiana.
