MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. -- After pervasive Florida thunderstorms delayed kickoff more than two hours, Miami defeated Ball State, 62-0, inside Hard Rock Stadium. The 10th-ranked Hurricanes improved to 3-0 on the season, while Ball State fell to 1-1. Miami was the Cardinals' ninth AP Top 10 opponent in program history, and their highest-ranked foe since facing No. 1 Georgia last year.

Coming off a debut performance last week that saw him produce 149 all-purpose yards and a pair of touchdowns, senior running back Braedon Sloan was one of few bright spots in the Cardinals offense.
