MUNCIE, Ind. – It was brisk Saturday morning at Scheumann Stadium, but the sun was out for most of the morning as the Ball State football team took part in its first spring practice of 2019.
As is the standard for a first practice, the players did not dress in pads, just helmets. Leading the offense from the quarterback position were junior Drew Plitt and redshirt freshman John Paddock. Several players were making a return to the field after sitting out much or all of the fall season with injuries. Those players included senior wide receiver Antwan Davis, junior running back Caleb Huntley, junior safety Mitch Larsen, sophomore offensive lineman Jake McKenzie and junior offensive lineman Kaleb Slaven.
