CLEVELAND, Ohio - Ball State women's basketball senior forward Nathalie Fontaine has been named Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week, marking the 12th time Fontaine has earned the honor in her career and the sixth time this season.
Fontaine combined for 57 points during last weeks’ competition after scoring 29 points against Central Michigan Wednesday and then led the Cardinals again with a 28-point performance at Kent State Saturday. Fontaine has now reached the 2,000 career point mark, making her only the second player in program history (Tamara Bowie is first with 2,091 points) to reach that milestone and the 15th player in MAC women’s basketball history.
