MUNCIE, Ind. -- Five Ball State student-athletes from the winter sports season were named Mid-American Conference Distinguished Scholar Athletes, recognized as the "best of the best" from their sports' Academic All-MAC teams.
Kyle Mallers and Austin Nehls from the men's basketball team, Hailley Peters and Peyton Stewart from the indoor track and field squad, and Sean Wolfe from the men's swimming and diving team earned the honor.
Mallers was honored for the second straight year, while Stewart has now been recognized twice in both indoor and outdoor track.
