WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Ball State's best performance during opening rounds of the Purdue Fall Invite came as part of a simultaneous individual event with freshman Happy Gilmore (71-60—140) firing 2-under part to sit in fourth place out of 36 competitors on Purdue's Ackerman-Allen Golf Course.
In the team event, Avery Mahoney paced Ball State in the first round, Kash Bellar led the Cardinals in the second, and after 36 holes of the Purdue Fall Invite, the Ball State men's golf team sits in 12th place with four Cardinals tied with matching scores.
