Field Hockey’s Second Half Scoring Surge Moves BSU Past CMU

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - The Ball State field hockey team (3-7, 2-2 MAC) keeps its winning streak alive after defeating Central Michigan (3-9, 0-5 MAC) 3-1 on the road Friday afternoon at Cristy Freese Field. Ball State has now won its last six contests against CMU.

Today's contest came down to the second 30-minutes of action after a scoreless first half. Central Michigan's Klara Mikulaskova found the back of the cage at the 35:12 mark of the third quarter to give the Chippewas the first score of the game.

It didn't take long for the Cardinals to answer back with a goal of their own.
