ATHENS, Ohio - - The Ball State field hockey team could not get past a tough Ohio defense Friday afternoon, suffering a 3-0 setback in Mid-American Conference play at Pruitt Field.
After being held to just one shot in the opening 30 minutes, the Cardinals (3-6; 1-1 MAC) were able to generate some pressure late, however, rallying for three of its four shots on goal in the final half.
In fact, Ball State put a lot of pressure on the Bobcats (3-7, 1-1 MAC) early in the fourth quarter with a shot a little over a minute in.
