OXFORD, Ohio - The fourth-seeded Ball State field hockey team (2-16) suffered a 4-0 loss to fifth-seeded Ohio University (5-11) Thursday morning in the quarterfinals of the Mid-American Conference Tournament, on the campus of Miami University.
This was the first time since the 2016 season that the Cardinals appeared in the MAC Tournament. Ball State also placed three on All-MAC squads, Anya Eicher, Rachel Pereira and Audrey Tabor, for the first time since 2007.
The Bobcats set the tempo early, after Jillian Shive scored her 10th goal of the season off of a shot in the middle circle at the 8:56 mark.
