MUNCIE, Ind. — Rob Jackson used to lay in bed and listen to Cincinnati Reds games on the radio as a kid. Sometimes he wondered what would happen when Marty Brennaman and Joe Nuxhall didn't call the games anymore.
Nuxhall died in 2007, but Brennaman is still with the Reds today. He recently announced that this will be his last season as a broadcaster.
"Now that the day has come, (this year) definitely is going to be melancholy," Jackson said. "But at least Marty is going out with his health on the top of his game. Hopefully the team can make it an exciting season for everybody.
