MUNCIE, Ind. — COVID-19 set every spring sports teams back. Not playing or having organized practices has led to many teams turning to players with little to no varsity experience.
Then there's Delta's girls tennis team. After winning back-to-back semistate titles in 2018 and 2019, the Eagles — who are ranked No. 11 in the state with a 15-2 record with one match remaining before sectionals — don't look like they've missed a step.
Perhaps it shouldn't come as a surprise that the Eagles have, once again, put themselves in a favorable position heading into the postseason.
