MUNCIE, Ind. – Yorktown coach Nate McClung entered the clubhouse at Maplewood Golf Club right after the results of the Delaware County girls golf invite were finalized.
He turned to Wapahani’s coach Brad Miller to ask what the Raiders had shot.
“198,” Miller said.
“Oh, really?” McClung replied.
“You guys won,” Miller said.
“Really?” McClung said with his eyebrows raised this team. He proceeded to turn around, smile and walk outside and tell his team who were standing alongside assistant coach Terry Boehm at hole four.
“When you’re out there coaching, you have no idea what other teams (are doing),” McClung said.
