GASTON, Ind. — For Eric Harlan, the realization that his high school football career was over didn't truly set in until Monday afternoon.
Friday, after Wes-Del's 30-28 double-overtime sectional loss against Tri-Central, Harlan knew it was over. But on Monday, after he cleaned out his locker and drove home with his helmet, the tears reminded him that his time playing football for the Warriors had come to end.
Looking back on his career, Harlan said one of his goals was to be remembered.
Wes-Del coach Brad Hess remembers putting in a talented but unexperienced Harlan in 2017 for a senior who had gotten suspended during Week 4 of the season.
