SELMA, Ind. — It wasn't the prettiest of starts (at least offensively) for Delta or Wapahani Friday night.
Both team's defenses were relentless, not just at the beginning of the game, but throughout the contest. And through the first two quarters, even when a player got the occasional open look, many shots simply weren't falling. Wapahani led 17-15 at halftime.
In the second half, Delta's "secondary offense," as coach Mark Detweiler put it, is what allowed the Eagles to get the second chance opportunities they needed to gain a 10-point cushion over the Raiders in the fourth quarter.
