INDIANAPOLIS — Six East Central Indiana boys track and field athletes and one relay team advanced to the IHSAA State Finals with their efforts at their respective regionals Thursday.
At Lawrence Central, Delta's Abram Stitt took first in the long jump with a leap of 23 feet, 4.5 inches to advance to state for the second year in a row. Delta's 4x100-meter relay team consisting of Abram Stitt, Luke Wray, Johnathan Chimbanda and Quinn Backus also took first with a time of 3:23.12.
