PARKER CITY, Ind. — Few players have started the season the way Monroe Central's Joel Kennedy has.
After being nominated three times in three weeks, Kennedy has been selected as The Star Press' football Player of the Week.
In a 19-18 victory over North Decatur, Kennedy did it all for the Golden Bears. When senior quarterback Jackson Ullom went down in the third quarter, Kennedy stepped in to be the signal caller. All-in-all, Kennedy finished the game with all three of Monroe Central's touchdowns, 219 total yards and two tackles.
This season, Kennedy has 390 rushing yards and seven touchdowns.
