MUNCIE, Ind.– Ball State baseball's Drey Jameson was the lone Mid-American Conference player to find his name on Baseball America's Freshman All-America Team, the publication announced Wednesday. Jameson is the second Cardinal ever to be named to two Freshman All-America teams, joining Zach Plesac (2014). He also earned the honor from Collegiate Baseball.
Jameson, the MAC Freshman Pitcher of the Year, posted a 7-2 overall record in 2018 with a 3.88 ERA over 72 innings. In his 18 appearances, the righty struck out 97 batters, the second most by any freshman in the nation, and held opposing batters to a .
