MUNCIE — According to Footballscoop.com, a coaching rumor blog, New Orleans Saints’ quarterbacks coach Mike Neu is the leading candidate to replace Pete Lembo as Ball State University's next head football coach. The post said Neu could be introduced as early as Tuesday, if “all goes well with the University President.”
BSU Athletic Director Mark Sandy would not confirm talking to Neu, adding that there are still two stages to work through before making a hire.
"I have someone I have in mind," Sandy said. "But I have to make sure they want the job and to make sure they will come and work for the compensation we have -- and that hasn't started yet.
