MUNCIE, Ind. — Jason Wray is standing on the grass inside the track at Muncie Central and he’s close to tears.
The Bearcats boys track and field coach is out of breath.
Rain, lightening and thunder delayed the 2019 Muncie Central sectional multiple times over the course of the evening. And when the weather subsided and allowed the athletes to compete, everyone hung on the announcement of each and every event score. Yorktown led at first before Central and Delta traded the lead back and forth.

Some of the Bearcats thought at the end the Eagles might have it — by a couple points, maybe less — after Delta finished second in the 1,600 meter relay and Central third.
