INDIANAPOLIS — Sam Bennett and Brady Samuels had their own fan section at the boys state swimming and diving championships Saturday — literally.
Dozens of friends and family members clad in custom baby blue state championship shirts sat on the west end of the Indiana University Natatorium Saturday. Positioned right in front of the diving boards, they were there to see the Delta juniors make history.
And Bennett and Samuels, well, they did just that.
Bennett awed the audience, scoring 500.10 points in the one-meter diving competition to become the first-ever state champion in Delta swimming and diving history.
