MUNCIE, Ind. — Since she started playing volleyball at Munciana as an 8-year-old, Bella Dearinger's goal was to play college volleyball.
"I never thought my dreams would actually come true," Dearinger told The Star Press.
On Sept. 26, the Delta senior announced her verbal commitment to play Division I volleyball at Murray State University. Playing varsity volleyball since her freshman year, Dearinger has racked up 1,583 assists, 769 digs, 124 aces and 303 digs (and counting) for the Eagles.
But, like so many Class of 2021 athletes, Dearinger came into the summer relying on the looks she would've gotten from the summer tournaments, like the AAU National Tournament, to garner college interest.
