Delta installed its turf football field in 2009, but it isn't showing signs of age.
No one would know the condition of the field better than Eagles' athletic director and former football coach Grant Zgunda. He was coach during the entire seven-year stretch Delta has played on turf and said he is pleased with its condition.
"The field is used all the time and doesn't seem to be any different than when we put it in," he said. "I would say it's doing well."
Sometimes, turf fields can have spots where the plastic grass wears away from use.
