MUNCIE, Ind. — There was a moment of reevaluation for Delta football this week.
Two weeks ago, the Eagles had an early lead against Yorktown and knew they didn't finish they way they wanted to. The feeling of losing in overtime at home was not one Delta's coaches or players wanted to repeat. Heading into last week's game against Mt. Vernon, Delta head coach Chris Overholt said the mindset was to play "our absolute best football every single down."
Overholt saw positives from that Mt. Vernon loss and Delta's mentality didn't waver. Despite being forced to practice indoors most of the week, the Eagles refocused.
