MUNCIE, Ind. — Had it not been for an injury last season, the 2021 Delaware County cross-country meet might've seen individual and team championship repeats across the board.
But Yorktown senior Luke Harber, who went on to win the 2021 individual boys title with a 16:58.3, didn't run during county last season. He didn't run much at all his junior season.
A stress fracture kept Harber sidelined for most of the 2020 cross-country season. Harber would end up returning for the final five races of the season, but both he and Yorktown head coach Jared Turner knew Harber wasn't at full-strength.
