YORKTOWN, Ind. — Luke Belangee stared down Yorktown quarterback Blair Webster as he rolled out toward the Tigers' sideline.
Belangee, a Delta senior, saw Webster's eyes lock in on Jamarius Evans coming out of the backfield. As he converged on the play, the ball tipped off Evans' outstretched hand and landed right in Belangee's lap.
Early in last week's game against Shelbyville, Belangee said he hurt his ankle, which kept him out of practice all week. It was a game-time decision whether or not he'd play at all. But as he ran down Yorktown's sideline, ball tucked in his arm, his ankle wasn't what he was thinking about.
