CLEVELAND, Ohio - Junior Thibault de Negri of the Ball State men's tennis team has been named the Mid-American Conference Men's Tennis Player of the week, the league office announced today.
In the Cardinals lone match this weekend, de Negri helped Ball State move past Toledo with a 4-3 road victory after taking both the first and second sets by a score of 7-6 from the Rockets Cole Shoults at the No. 1 singles position.
With the win, de Negri improved his MAC record to 5-1 on the season while helping the Cardinals win their fifth-straight moving their overall record to 15-3 and 4-2 in MAC play.
