DAYTON, Ohio - Ball State found itself on the wrong end of a pitcher's duel Friday afternoon, as BSU dropped a 5-4 ballgame at Dayton's Woerner Field. The game was tied 1-1 until the home team found three runs in the 7th.
A homer by Dayton's Riley Tirotta in the 2nd inning was the game's total scoring until the Cardinals tied it in the 7th. Drey James and Dayton starter Hunter Wolfe were both cruising in a 1-0 game until Aaron Simpson led off the 7th with a single, stole second and then scored on a double play to tie the game.
