DALEVILLE, Ind. — Daleville just dropped the first set, 25-23, against visiting Muncie Central.
It was the first time in 10 days the Broncos had lost a set, but they weren't acting like it. Inside the huddle between sets, head coach Valorie Wells — who was wearing a Kobe Bryant Los Angeles Lakers jersey on jersey night — was smiling and joking around with her players. Around Wells, players were dancing and smiling.
And, for the next three sets, Daleville smiled, danced and celebrated its way to a 3-1 victory (23-25, 25-17, 25-9, 25-18) over the Class 4A opponent.
