DALEVILLE, Ind. — Cayden Gothrup has been going to baseball camps at Ball State since he was 12 years old. Soon, the Daleville standout will be spending a lot more time on Ball Diamond.
Gothrup received an offer from the Cardinals in late-June and the left-handed pitcher/outfielder verbally committed to BSU on July 3.
"It's always had a special place in my heart and the more I talked to them and stuff like that, it just felt like the best fit for me," Gothrup said. "They treated me like they wanted me and not just a person to fill that position.
