MUNCIE — It felt like a home game should.
Down the stretch in a gritty contest decided by a single point, the crowd at Worthen Arena was on its feet. The building erupted as Ball State went on an 11-2 run to pull ahead and secure a 63-62 win over visiting Alabama A&M.
For some reason — maybe it’s really the number of people in the crowd, or maybe those who come out have been a bit louder — things feel different this year. Head coach James Whitford said the energy had a real effect on the game.
