MUNCIE, Ind. -- The Ball State cross country team faced the heat and competed on its new course for the first time Saturday afternoon. With the addition of the Ball State Cross Country Course, this was the first time the Cardinals have had the opportunity to compete on-campus.
In a tough race, Carly Spletzer led the way for the Cardinals, finishing fifth with a time of 22:42.43.
Next in was Sarah Mahnensmith, finishing 11th with a time of 23:34.33. Closely following was Evie Noel in her Ball State cross country debut.
