MUNCIE, Ind. — Aaron Groves isn't one for excuses.
Does the first-year Cowan boys basketball coach think privately about "what if?" scenarios? Sure. But excuses? Nope, no time for those.
Following Cowan's 53-35 loss to Yorktown in the semifinal round of the Delaware County boys basketball tournament, Groves made that point perfectly clear.
"These kids know better than most that life's not fair," Groves said. "And so there's no reason to make excuses and they're not going to hear those from me. You do what you can with the cards you're dealt and you play them the best you can and you try to keep a straight face and go at it.
