Cowan graduate gets drafted after sophomore season

A former Cowan baseball star may have his shot in professional baseball.

Indiana sophomore and Cowan graduate Luke Miller was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 31st round with pick No. 916.

Miller, who hit .272 for the Hoosiers this season with 10 home runs and 42 RBIs, still has two years of eligibility remaining.

Before leaving for Delta, Seth Paul coached Miller at Cowan for three years. He said it was easy to tell Miller's skills were special and he knew he would end up at a Division-I school.

The two have stayed in touch over the last few years as Miller became acclimated at Indiana and took on a bigger role with the Hoosiers.
