MUNCIE, Ind. — Aaron Groves walked up and down the court during Cowan's team scrimmage at the end of practice Thursday, a little under a week before the Blackhawk's first game at Sheridan.
He was yelling situations as Cowan's players competed, trying to pull ahead of one another in a tightly contested game. There was some chippiness in the intersquad scrimmage, but Groves likes that.
Cowan wants to be competitive this year and it showed as the players battled against one another to win an otherwise inconsequential game. This year, the Blackhawks don't want to have to wait as long as they did last season to start winning games.
