Colts' D'Qwell Jackson found guilty of simple assault

Colts starting inside linebacker D’Qwell Jackson was found guilty Monday of simple assault in Washington, D.C. in a case stemming from a 2015 fight with a delivery driver.

Jackson, 32, was arrested after an altercation in February 2015 with Jose Bonilla-Fuentes, a pizza delivery driver, over Jackson’s assigned parking spot outside his downtown Washington residence. Bonilla-Fuentes accused Jackson of punching him. Jackson's finding of guilt came in a non-jury trial.

Simple assault is punishable by a maximum of 180 days in jail. Sentencing is scheduled for April 6. For a defendant without criminal history, like Jackson, a fine -- not jail time -- is most likely.
