Former Ball State football player Eric Patterson has signed with the Cleveland Browns.
In his first year in the NFL, the 5-foot-9, 200-pound defensive back played two games with the Indianapolis Colts and one with the St. Louis Rams.
As a senior in 2014, Patterson was named first-team All-Mid-American Conference as a kick returner after returning 23 kicks for 590 yards.
He was also named third-team All-MAC as a defensive back after leading the Cardinals with 37 solo tackles and three interceptions in his senior season.
