MUNCIE — At this point of the girls basketball season, it would be too easy to lose focus.
Central didn't, knocking off Connersville 37-27 Tuesday. With the game in the books, Central has crossed the halfway point in the season, improving its record to 8-3 in the process.
It also finished a stretch consisting of four out of five nonconference games, as the Bearcats push through the middle of December when nights are at their longest and it could be tough to get a player motivated for a game.
"It's usually not too bad, but I feel like this week, it is," Central senior Jayla Scaife said.
