HUNTINGTON, Ind — Fort Wayne South Side could not have played into Central's hands much better.
Against Jay County earlier this week, South Side used a full-court press to force 40 turnovers, overwhelming the Patriots' offense. Against Central, the Archers tried to do the same thing.
It was a bad decision.
Central defeated South Side 110-104 in the semifinal round of the Class 4A Huntington North Sectional. If the Archers wanted to turn the game into a track meet, the Bearcats were happy to oblige by sprinting down the court for transition layups and dunks before the defense could catch its breath.
