KENT, Ohio – The Ball State Cardinals rallied with seven unanswered runs to take Sunday's series finale over host Kent State, 7-2. The Cardinals earned a series win at Kent State for the first time since 2008.
Several Ball State (12-11, 2-1 MAC) players played a key role in the victory. Junior hit his first home run as a Cardinal, a two-run shot, to even the score at 2-all in the fifth inning. Senior gave Ball State its first lead with a two-out RBI single to center field in the seventh inning. Fellow senior broke open the game with a bases-clearing triple in the eighth inning.
