BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Ball State University soccer team took the Mid-American Conference Championship all the way to a sixth round of penalty kicks, but came up short as it fell to Bowling Green, 1-1, and 5-4 in PK's at Cochrane Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The Cardinals finish the 2018 season with a record of 14-3-3 and as the MAC runner up.
"You can't fault our effort today," said head coach Craig Roberts. "The girls left it all out on the field and unfortunately came up short. Anything can happen when you get to PK's and we were on the wrong side of it.
