Cardinals “Played Great for 40 Minutes” in All-Around Performance at Valpo

VALPARAISO, Ind. -- Ball State played fast when the flow allowed, moved the ball with pop, defended at a high level and made all the winning plays Monday night in an emphatic, 77-61 victory at Valparaiso.

Tahjai Teague led the way with 19 points and 12 rebounds, as the Cardinals won at Valpo for the first time since 1990. The teams did not meet for a 15-year stretch, so the drought was a span of six trips to the Athletics-Recreation Center. Still, it's never an easy place to win.

Ball State (7-4) polished off its four-game road stretch at 3-1 and will play a home game at Worthen Arena on Thursday for the first time in more than three weeks.
