NASHVILLE, TN. –- The Cardinals brought the fight as they found themselves in a close game in Nashville, involving a career-high tackling night for linebacker Joey Stemler, and an overall efficient passing night from Kadin Semonza.
Following a 38-yard field that gave Vanderbilt a three-point advantage about halfway through the fourth quarter, Commodores' Diego Pavia ran the ball five yards into the endzone to put Vanderbilt (5-2, 2-1 SEC) over Ball State (2-5, 1-2 MAC) 24-14.
