NORMAL, Illinois - The Ball State baseball finished a unique weekend 2-1, dropping the series finale against Bradley on a neutral field. The Cardinals, who took both ends of a doubleheader on Friday, lost 6-0 to Bradley on Saturday night.
"We won the series but got beat in all phases in today's game," head coach Rich Maloney said. "Tip your hat to Bradley on coming back after our sweep yesterday."
Ball State (4-3) was limited to two hits and two walks by three Bradley pitchers. Lefty Brooks Gosswein threw seven shutout innings with seven strikeouts and allowed four baserunners.
