OXFORD, Ohio – Host Miami scored the go-ahead touchdown with 5:44 remaining and proceeded to hold off the Ball State football team, 21-20, Tuesday night at Yager Stadium.
Miami, which began the year 0-6, won its sixth straight game to finish the regular season 6-6 overall and 6-2 in Mid-American Conference play. Ball State ends its 2016 season with a 4-8 record and 1-7 in the league.
"It was a disappointing way to finish the season," Ball State head coach Mike Neu said. "I hate it for the group of 23 seniors in the locker room.
