MUNCIE, Ind. -- The bracket is set for the 2019 Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic, and the Ball State men's basketball team will face the host school in its first-round matchup. ESPN Events announced the tournament bracket Thursday.
The Cardinals will meet Hawaii in the last game of the tournament's opening day, Sunday, Dec. 22. The game will tip at 6:30 p.m. HT (12:30 a.m. ET) on ESPN2 from the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu. The Rainbow Warriors went 18-13 a year ago and 9-7 in the Big West Conference.
The other matchup in Ball State's half of the bracket pits UTEP and Washington.
