MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State football team couldn't ask for a better day to hold its first full team practice of the 2017 season. Sunny skies and a light breeze greeted the Cardinals Wednesday afternoon as the team began its preparation for the season opener at Illinois on Sept. 2.
RED AND WHITE EVERYWHERE: A full roster of 105 players reported to camp over the last few days. Only a few players were held out of today's practice.
NEW SOD: Wednesday's practice, as well as most of the preseason practices, was held on the natural grass practice fields behind Scheumann Stadium.
