These next three years could go by painfully slowly or surprisingly quickly for Emily Weiss.
Yorktown's sophomore swimming phenom won the 100-yard breaststroke at the state finals on Saturday and broke Olympic gold medalist Lilly King's Indiana record (finishing in 59.37 seconds) in the process. Weiss did it two years earlier than King.
After the race, Weiss said that she could see herself swimming in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Weiss is young right now, but by the time summer 2020 rolls around, she will be 19 years old.
