MUNCIE, Ind. — Speaking Tuesday, Jackson Ullom was back in quarantine after having the ability to practice with his Monroe Central teammates that previous weekend.
Jackson, a junior basketball player for the Golden Bears, had already been forced to quarantine for part of last week due to the pandemic. It was the latest example, Jackson not alone this week, of how player availability for Monroe Central has been an issue through what has already been a tumultuous preseason for high school basketball in Indiana. Head coach Justin Ullom described it as “kind of wild,” and said about a week ago the Golden Bears had their first practice with more that about four varsity players available.
