MUNCIE, Ind. — As the end-of-season high school awards have come out, Ball State baseball again has struck it big. And now head coach Rich Maloney is thinking big.
Prep Baseball Report recently named two Ball State incoming recruits, Drey Jameson (Indiana) and Kyle Nicolas (Ohio), as the top players in their respective states. At Ball State, they’ll join another top player in his respective state, John Baker, who was named Michigan’s Mr. Baseball in 2016 and this year was a Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American.
“We have aspirations of being a national program,” Maloney said. “I thought we were really close this year, but we had a bunch of injuries.
