Call Ranked White Sox No. 9 Prospect

Muncie, Ind. - The reigning Mid-American Conference Player-of-the-Year and a 2016 First Team All-American for Ball State, Alex Call has been named by Baseball America as the Chicago White Sox' No. 9 overall prospect heading into the 2017 season.

A native of River Falls, WI, Call batted a career-best .358/.443/.667 with 13 home runs and 67 runs scored for the Cardinals this spring before being drafted in the third round (86th overall) by the White Sox in June. He was opened his pro career assigned to rookie-level Great Falls, lasting only 27 games before a promotion to Low-A Kannapolis in the South Atlantic League.
